Port placement - If chemotherapy is needed, ports are often placed for long-term venous access. Ports are small reservoirs placed under the skin in the chest with a small tube which connects to the large vein in the neck. This procedure is performed under conscious sedation with constant monitoring by a nurse and every procedure is performed by a board certified physician.

Lung fluid buildup - in certain cancers fluid can build up around the lung which can be drained with a small tube which tunnels under the skin. This procedure is performed under conscious sedation with constant monitoring by a nurse and every procedure is performed by a board certified physician.

Abdominal fluid buildup - Abdominal fluid buildup can cause significant discomfort and drains can be placed under the skin to drain the fluid. This procedure is performed under conscious sedation with constant monitoring by a nurse and every procedure is performed by a board certified physician.

Abdominal cancer pain - certain cancers can invade the nerves in the abdomen called the celiac plexus which can be ablated with alcohol through a needle to decrease the pain. This procedure is performed under conscious sedation with constant monitoring by a nurse and every procedure is performed by a board certified physician.

Transarterial chemo embolization (TACE) - cancers in the liver can be treated through a small puncture in the groin artery to deliver chemotherapy directly into the tumor and slow bloodflow to the tumor to kill or slow tumor growth. This procedure is performed under conscious sedation with constant monitoring by a nurse and every procedure is performed by a board certified physician.

Tumor Ablation - Tumors in the liver, kidney, or lung can be treated using a small needle guided into the lesion by CT or ultrasound. The needle tip uses heat to burn the tumor or cold to freeze the tumor. This procedure is performed under conscious sedation with constant monitoring by a nurse and every procedure is performed by a board certified physician.
