5k Walk/Run for Breast Cancer Awareness

Join us for Blue Rock Medical’s first 5k Walk/Run for Breast Cancer Awareness! Socially-distanced and outside to support a great cause.

Join us for Blue Rock Medical’s first 5k Walk/Run for Breast Cancer Awareness! During this time of social distancing and isolation, we want to get outside and come together in the safest way possible to support those in our community who have had breast cancer, and remind others to get screened this October. All proceeds from the race will be donated to Lifting Hearts Foundation, which supports women with breast cancer through mentoring, monthly support meetings, breast cancer retreats, service opportunities, and more.

Please note that the event is a 5k Walk/Run along paved and trail surfaces. The event will not be timed, but a friendly way to get outside and support those diagnosed and survivors of breast cancer. There will be a raffle for participants to win prizes and snacks following the race.

COVID-19 Precautions:

Runners and walkers will purchase tickets for certain heat times so that there are no more than 15 participants in each group. Heats will leave every 15 minutes. Participants will sign up for a time when they register for the race. **Note the first 4 heats are designated for runners, and the proceeding 9 heats are for walkers.

Masks will be required at the start and finish lines where there are large amounts of people. You will not be required to wear the masks while walking/running, so long as city guidelines do not change.

Any food given at the event will be pre-packaged and distributed using gloves.
